Description

Delicious and easy-to-make appetizer balls, perfect for gatherings and family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g surimi (can be replaced with canned tuna or salmon)
  • 150 g fromage frais (Philadelphie, Saint Môret or Boursin)
  • 1 c. à soupe jus de citron
  • 2 c. à soupe ciboulette (or parsley)
  • 1 c. à café sel
  • 1 c. à café poivre
  • À discrétion graines de sésame (for coating)
  • À discrétion paprika (for coating)
  • À discrétion herbes hachées (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, crumble the surimi (or canned fish) with a fork. Add the cream cheese and mix well until smooth.
  2. Incorporate the lemon juice, chives, salt, and pepper into the mixture. Adjust seasonings to taste, adding more lemon if desired.
  3. Form small balls the size of a walnut with your hands, or use a teaspoon for precision. Roll each ball in sesame seeds, paprika, and chopped herbs for coating.

Notes

For extra creativity, consider adding spices like curry or cumin to the mix. Children may enjoy these with a bit of garlic powder for a kick without overwhelming flavors.
