Description

A light and fluffy sponge cake perfect for family moments, which can be served on its own or with fresh fruits and cream.


Ingredients

  • 180 g of sugar
  • 180 g of flour
  • 60 g of melted butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift in the flour and gently fold it into the egg mixture, then add the melted butter and optional vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

Ensure to grease and flour the pan well. Be gentle when mixing the flour to maintain the lightness of the sponge.
