Ingredients

- 250 g of pasta (your choice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ onion (finely chopped)
- 3 to 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 450 g chicken breast, cut into pieces
- ½ teaspoon each of Italian herbs (smoked paprika, chili flakes, garlic powder, salt, pepper)
- 250 ml liquid cream
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 80 g sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, reserving ½ cup of the cooking water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Then add the minced garlic and butter; cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chicken pieces and Italian herbs to the skillet. Sauté the chicken for 5-7 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
- Pour the cream into the skillet with the chicken, then add the reserved cooking water, grated Parmesan, and sun-dried tomatoes. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring gently to combine the flavors.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, mixing well to coat each piece. Let it simmer for another minute to heat through.
Notes
You can use any pasta type you prefer, such as spaghetti, penne, or farfalle. For a lighter version, opt for reduced-fat cream. Feel free to customize the herbs according to your taste.
